Plan for a budget holiday

October 31st, 2009

Holidaymakers spend literally hours trawling the Internet looking for cheaper travel, airport parking and accommodation in a bid to bring down the price of their holiday. Whilst the Internet has undoubtedly played a massive part in connecting suppliers direct to their customers meaning holidaymakers can organise their own holiday which is more often than not less expensive than a package deal. Before even setting the ball rolling you first need to establish some guidelines of when to travel. For instance if flying from the UK the price of your Manchester airport parking for example will change during the year as will the price of your flight.

Trying to avoid having an expensive vacation, unfortunately most people respond to giveaway deals advertised in papers or travel agents shop windows and can end up with a cheap holiday but unfortunately. If you are a sun worshipper there is little value in going on vacation to the Costa Brava in autumn or winter when the temperatures are only early 60’s but this may well suit travellers looking for a walking vacation. Select what you want from your holiday and then select the destination after looking at climate and time of the year. The same applies with your airport parking Heathrow, for instance, many companies advertise incredibly cheap prices but you must be certain the car parks are approved by the safer Park Mark scheme or your vehicle might end up in a field or a shopping center car park for all you know.

Outside of the main season hotels in this country and abroad still have the same fixed costs to meet and this is when low prices will be at there best. If your needing a stop over before your flight it is cheaper to book for example Birmingham airport hotel parking rather than purchase your airport parking and hotel independently. Whilst flight providers will withdraw some flights and routes through the winter they still operate a core staffing level and will have fleet costs to meet and will tempt holidaymakers with cut price deals.
